Deep Sea Fishing In Nevis Is Great! While the beauty and climate of Nevis alone justify a visit, if you enjoy the romance of the sea and the challenge of fishing, then you owe it to yourself to pay Nevis Water Sports a visit. They will do everything in their power to make your fishing an exciting and enjoyable experience!
There are many reefs off Nevis, and hence plenty of reef fish. These reefs also create drop-offs, and it is here where we find an abundance of game fish, such as Wahoo, Dorado (locally call dolphin fish), Tuna, Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Sailfish, and Kingfish. Nevis Water Sports provides you with a first class fishing boat, and two types of fishing excursions, Deep Sea and/or Bottom Fishing.
Nevis Water Sports conforms to international (IGFA) sports rules and will release all billfish. Nevis Water Sports is based at Oualie Beach which boasts the island's only private pier. Fishing tackle is by Penn International TW 12 to TW 80.
They have been collecting data for some years now, and studies show that during the months of October - December is peak Wahoo season. November - February is the best time to catch Tuna and Dolphin fish. February - April is an excellent time to observe Whales, catch Dolphin, Tuna and Wahoo. June - August is an excellent time to catch Billfish. All Billfish will be released.
